Nutrition

I'm curious as to what you guys are doing for the nutrition part. I looked through the book, and I looked at their schedule and menu and I thought it was bullshit. Half of the stuff, I couldn't pronounce, let alone know what it is to eat it. I just took the front part that listed all of the different foods in a certain category, picked out what I knew and liked and ran with that. I got some bars from the grocery store to fill in for their P90X bars. Did anyone go and order those? I just focused on fiber and protein as far as the bars go. I'm doing the schedule that they suggested, meals, snacks and all that. I already messed up, I had a handful of caramel corn yesterday, I'm taking it serious though, and that kind of thing won't happen again. The hardest part about this is putting food in the category of fuel, and recognizing that we don't have to have a love for it, we just need it to survive. I made some salmon on Monday, and not using any salt, or salt based seasonings really made it hard for me. We can use mrs. dash, I got some yesterday and baked some chicken with it, it came out pretty good. How are you guys making out?

For nutrition I'm doing what I did last time I really leaned myself out. In 2006 for our gospel choir trip to jamacia I lost a lot of body fat.I bought a bunch of Lean Cusine/ Smart One's/Healthy Choices/ South Beach Diets box meals. The only fast food I can really eat is Taco Bell. Each Taco is only about 170 Calories so its probably the best you can have. Also I have a lot of soup. A can is about 200. Deserts are usually Sugar free jello or pudding and I buy the 100 calorie pack of cookies or cakes. You're absolutely right. You don't have to like it. You just have to get through it. Stay focused. I'm thinking about getting th ebars, but I usually just have a nature valley bar or a regular granola bar too. They're low in calories as well. Also I'm taking protien after each workout.

Nutrition is the hardest part. You REALLY have to stay motivated. We all slip ( I had a couple small resse cups at work) but it won't set you back if you keep focused.

Chris, be careful with those meals. I know they don't have a lot of calories, but make sure you also get the ones that aren't packed with sodium. At least for me, I have to be really careful about my sodium intake, the docs suggested that I get reduced sodium bacon and the like. I heard that you shouldn't do more than one of those in a day, unless you are drinking tons of water to combat that extra sodium, or get the ones that have low sodium. I have a list of certain ones that you should eat, and others that you should stay away from. I didn't even think of eating soup, but I'm gonna put soup on my shopping list. Those 100 calorie cookies and crackers are almost as good as the originals.

by the way, Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers are extremely low in sodium for premium frozen meals. They also taste pretty good. In addition to all that buying them will help my stock price!

I looked at the nutrition program and deciced it's not in my best interests...The meal plann for dinner is what I can eat in 1/2 sitting if I'm bored..

I'm for the exercise program only.

You guys might to invest in some amino acids as well since they are the building blocks of protein and can aid in the recovery process after an intense workout. I mix it in with a protein shake after every workout.

I can provide everyone with some more information if they are interested.
